Jon Spencer, Technical & Operations Director

Jon Spencer

With nearly 15 years of experience in digital inkjet printing, Jon has worked in both the Industrial and Graphics sectors of the industry gaining experience in most areas of the business, including Field Service Engineer, Production Management and Research & Development.

Jon went straight from University to work for Codent Limited who manufactured Industrial Inkjet Coders and was involved in the production of the products, leading to a Field Service Engineer role involving significant international travel. The experience gained eventually led to Jon leading the development of new products and this in turn gained him the role of Production Director.

After nearly 7 years with Codent, Jon went to work for an associate company, Lyson Limited and became involved in the early development and testing of wide-format solvent printing inks. Subsequently involved in the development of kits to convert water-based printers to solvent-based and heavily involved in a project with Seiko Infotech to help develop their early solvent inkjet printers, this led to Jon running the equipment arm of Lyson, Tiara Systems Limited.

In 2005, Jon left Lyson to set up his own business selling and supporting printers imported from the Far East (through Josero) in the UK and Ireland. This eventually led to Josero investing with Jon and the company became the distribution and technical support centre for Josero. When Josero decided to move their business to the UK and consolidate, Jon took up the offer to move to Cambridge to set-up and run their new warehousing and technical support operation.
